Honoring Veterans, the annual dinner was held at Receptions where Lieutenant Colonel Charles G. Schretzman, United States Army presented insight into the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq as well as the honor and tradition of American service men. Two D-Day veterans were in attendance as well as scores of other WWII, Korea, Viet Nam and Gulf War Veterans. A highlight of the evening was entertainment by the award-winning Fairfield High School Choraliers.

"The Movies" were celebrated and the evening's events were emceed by veteran newsman and media personality Nick Clooney. His charming wife Nina was in attendance and entertainment was provided by a host of local talent.

Nick and Nina Clooney attended our November 2009 annual celebration and fundraiser, Music from the Movies, with Nick as the MC.

In honor of Fairfield Women’s 52nd anniversary, we are awarding scholarships to two college bound woman graduating from high school this year. Please read the following carefully, complete the application and return by April 20, 2012 to Fairfield Community Foundation, 5350 Pleasant Ave., Fairfield, OH 45014.

ABOUT FAIRFIELD WOMEN
The Fairfield Women’s Club is a non profit organization whose fundraising efforts have benefited many local charities. Its purpose is promoting goodwill throughout the community through charitable deeds; offering stimulating social and educational programs and promoting fellowship among members.
APPLICANTS
Student applicants shall be females graduating from high school. They must reside in Fairfield or Fairfield Township. Their diploma may be from any public, private or technical school.
USE OF SCHOLARSHIP
Grant money may be used for any legitimate college expenses such as tuition, fees, books, room and board, etc. The student must be a full time student at an accredited four year college or university and pursuing a baccalaureate degree.
COMMITTEE
The Fairfield Women Grant Committee will have the total responsibility for awarding the scholarship. Awardees will be rated on community involvement, school and volunteer activities and academic performance.
FUNDING
Two scholarships will be awarded, each in the amount of $500, pending Farifield Women Board of approval at the end of February.
This is a one time, non-renewable scholarship .
